The world is a big place, but there has never been a time in history where it’s easier to visit new places. We should not forget that traveling is still a privilege most can’t afford, but if you have the opportunity, not doing it is a tremendous waste. Traveling opens your mind in ways no other activity can accomplish, and those who know many cultures are bound to be better leaders and overall more well rounded individuals.
Think how different each place is. Appreciate the differences. From Hong Kong’s unique mix of modern world with history, to Dubai’s architectural marvels, to the natural beauty of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil or the vast diversity of landscape in New Zealand, planning to visit every place worth visiting would take more than a lifetime.
Keep yourself inspired by making a list of places you want to go in your lifetime. Schedule them across the years and keep this somewhere you can see it often. Don’t let yourself forget and start planning your trips 3, 6 or even 12 months ahead of time. Let the expectation of traveling be as enjoyable as the trip yourself and you may find yourself craving the world.
